This 1973 Jaguar E-type Series III V-12 Roadster is a delight. It has had only two careful owners and only about 25,800 miles from new. The only work undertaken has been a repaint in the original British Racing Green and reupholstered seats in the original biscuit leather. Remarkably, the carpets, interior trim and door panels are the originals and, if anything, show less wear than the few miles covered would indicate. It even has its British Leyland-branded AM-FM radio. Wheels, appropriately, are chrome wires with blackwall radial tires.
Perhaps best of all, it is a 4-speed, the ideal way to enjoy the smooth power and torque of Jaguar's 5,343cc 285hp overhead camshaft V-12. Consistent with its history of only two caring owners it is extensively documented including the original window sticker, warranty, registrations, service records and the original jack, spare wheel and tire, wheel hammer and bag.
Low miles, only two sympathetic owners and never apart, this 1973 XKE Series III 4-speed Roadster is a chance to experience what a tremendous value in performance, style and comfort the Series III XKE was, why it was such a sensation when it was new and why collectors still marvel at its value.
