1957 Morgan Plus 4

The first Morgan 4-wheel sports car was built in 1936. Through an untold number of model and running changes, a variety of drivetrains and engine suppliers, the Morgan family has remained in charge. For nearly 3/4 of a century Morgan has remained true to its heritage, building consistently excellent British sports cars using traditional designs, materials and methods. That has made the company an institution and inspired the fervent loyalty of a legion of owners. Produced from 1950 through 1969, the Morgan Plus 4 had many variants as its body style slowly became more streamlined and its drivetrain progressed through several generations of Standard and Triumph products. Built in 1957 with the 100hp TR3 engine, this Morgan Plus 4 has been restored by a specialist in British cars to Concours levels of fit, finish and function. Finished in British Racing Green with Tan leather upholstery and a black top and boot, everything has been done to the highest standards. The wooden dashboard, instruments, knobs and bezels, often overlooked in restoration, have been done to like-new, showroom appearance. The bodywork is dead straight and the finish work -- paint, chrome and upholstery -- are magnificent. Fitted with silver painted steel wheels with hubcaps and black wall tires as it would have had when delivered, it needs absolutely nothing at all to be a high point show car. On the road it will be the envy of every fan of classic British sports cars.
