The TF 1500 is the ultimate evolution of the traditional MG sports car. The 1466cc engine foreshadowed the 1489cc engine to come in the streamlined MG A with nine more horsepower than the earlier TF's 1250cc XPAG unit, a 17% increase that significantly improved the TF 1500's performance and kept the reliable TF competitive with lightweight specials in road racing. This 1955 TF 1500 has been restored to very attractive standards, a sparkling driver in red with black upholstery, a matching vinyl soft top and cloth tonneau cover. It rides on chrome wire wheels with black wall Michelin radial tires and has headlight stone guards, fender mirrors, wind wings and the correct MG steering wheel. The engine bay is attractively presented and has been updated with cast aluminum valve and lifter gallery covers that are more attractive than the stamped steel originals and also quieter. This is a very pretty little MG that will cruise comfortably with any sports car gathering and show with pride at the end of the day. It needs absolutely nothing to be used and enjoyed with confidence.
