Sitting on a 142" wheelbase chassis, the 0934 Packard Super Eight 1104 Coupe Roadster was a grand and extravagant way for two -- and occasionally four with two passengers in the rumble seat -- to enjoy the open road. Costing a minimum of $2,380 and easily optioned to $3,070 -- a princely sum in the middle of the Depression -- the price nevertheless bought one of the most refined, easy-driving automobiles of the period, a combination of chassis, suspension, engine, driveline and brakes which had been continuously improved, developed and refined by Packard's engineers to a state of near-perfection. This gorgeous 1934 Packard Super Eight 1104 Coupe Roadster is lavishly equipped with options and accessories including dual enclosed side-mounted spares with mirrors, Bijur chassis lubricator, whitewall tires, black wire wheels with trim rings, wind wings, trunk rack, Depress Beam headlights and Ride Control. It is attractively, and unusually, liveried in dark green with black fenders and side-mount covers complemented by chocolate brown leather upholstery and a deep beige cloth top. Restored to Concours condition some time ago it has seen limited subsequent use but exceptional care and preservation. The paint, chrome, interior and engine are in near Concours condition. A sparkling example of one of the most desirable year, model and body of Packard production, it needs nothing to be driven and enjoyed on tours and events and will be proudly displayed at the most demanding Concours with assiduous attention to freshening its presentation.
