As part of Jaguar's continuous development and improvement of the XKE, the Series II, which Jaguar introduced in late 1968, incorporated a number of changes; many of them needed to meet new U.S. safety regulations, and included a larger oval air intake and more robust bumpers and more prominent marker lights. This handsome 1970 Series II Jaguar XKE Roadster was a one owner California car until 2008. It has never been restored, just carefully maintained and preserved, and runs and drives well, with superb mechanics. Repainted once, it is original and tidy under hood and comes with a truly impressive package of documentation including its original sales invoice, lubrication chart, registration receipts, books, records and repair receipts. This is a great, original, running and driving E-type with a quality old repaint that is nearly impossible to find these days. It looks and drives like a ten year old used car, which is pretty unusual for a car that's nearly forty.
