1957 Ford Thunderbird

Ford developed the two-seat Thunderbird two years after Chevrolet introduced the Corvette. Like Corvette, Thunderbird was based on sedan components, but in concept and execution Thunderbird was conceived and built to be a comfortable, well-equipped boulevard sports car. It proved to be the more successful formula. It was way more successful, in production quantities if not in longevity. This very nice 1957 Thunderbird is powered by the desirable 312 cubic inch V-8 with 245 horsepower. It has an automatic transmission, Town & Country radio, power brakes, power steering, power windows, engine dress up kit, full wheel covers, and wide whitewall tires. It was owned by a single family who had it restored some time ago. The engine is fully detailed, the paint, chrome and interior are new, and the chassis has been done all to the standards of a long term owning family who wanted a car they could use, enjoy and drive. Finished in Red with Red and White interior it is a porthole hardtop only Thunderbird. The hardtop is White. The car is sweet.
