This Model A Ford is a real United States Post Office truck, not a reproduction. It wears its Post Office number, 10205, proudly and it comes with a huge documentation file going back to the 1960's covering its discovery and restoration with plans, documents, letters and other research materials. Much of the truck box is original wood but even more impressive is the original glass and hardware, even the padlocks, which date to its use carrying the mail and are absolutely irreplaceable today. It runs and drives great. The restoration is old, and was done to standards that were less stringent than those generally employed today but even that enhances its impression as an honest, hard-working, no frills, utilitarian truck that did its job. It is darn lucky to have survived and then to have fallen into the hands of owners who made the effort to return it to its original condition. At any gathering of Fords or commercial vehicles it will be one of the stars and it needs absolutely nothing to be used, shown and enjoyed.
