1941 Dodge Power Wagon

This Dodge Radio Command Car restoration has been done right, with careful and informed attention to details of appearance, trim, materials, colors and meticulous attention to the correct military equipment. It is finished (of course) in Olive Drab. The interior is upholstered in Brown leather (probably a change from original cloth.) It is powered by Dodge's rock-solid-reliable flathead inline six cylinder and the four wheel drive system is fully operational. Equipment? Power takeoff winch, flag mounts, side-mounted spare, jerry can, antennas, shovels, axes, trailer hitch. A folding map table is mounted on the back of the front seat. In the trunk there are three complementary radios built by Farnsworth Television and Radio Corporation, Western Electric and Delco with a huge whip antenna to get the signals out. There is a complete set of top bows and a new top still in the box. Although many military vehicles given "a lick and a promise" restorations, this Radio Command Car is completely, carefully, knowledgeably, thoroughly and meticulously done and done right to bring it back to the condition it was in when it was dispatched from Dodge to head for the front lines in World War II. Even among military vehicles it is highly unusual. It will have ham radio operators falling all over themselves to try to make it work. It is very special.
