The 1942 model year lasted only about four months before civilian production shut down for the duration of World War II, making these cars the rarest of all Detroit production. Ford managed to build 160,211 1942 model cars of which only 5,483 were the super rare and desirable Super Deluxe Station Wagons, today by far and away the most desirable of all 1942 Fords. This one is classically finished in Maroon with Brown leather upholstery. A 3-seat wagon, it has a radio, clock, wheel trim rings, wide whitewall tires, a grille guard and an enclosed rear spare tire. It has been very sympathetically restored to retain as much as possibility of its originality. Woodies this original and in such good condition rarely show up, and this is a real prize that needs nothing to be driven, cruised, shown and enjoyed.
