1948 Nash Ambassador

The Nash Kelvinator Corporation built only about 1,000 of these top of the line Ambassador Custom convertibles in 1948. This example has had only two owners from new; the first was a proud employee of the Kenosha, Wisconsin Nash factory. Remarkably, it has never needed restoration, having been carefully maintained as needed throughout its life. Repainted some time ago in its original Canterbury Grey with Burgundy leather and grey cloth interior it has a Black cloth power-operated top, 3-speed manual transmission, "Weather Eye" heater, backup light, dual outside mirrors, backup light and a radio which has been invisibly adapted to modern AM-FM reception while retaining the original foot-operated station changing control. It has recently had a complete engine and brake system overhaul and runs and drives like new. This is a vehicle that be driven proudly and with full confidence that another one like it will only rarely be encountered.
