Few competition Ferraris are as instantly recognizable as the legendary 250 Testa Rossa. Introduced for the 1957 season, the Testa Rossa became one of Maranello's greatest sports racing cars, claiming victories at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, 12 Hours of Sebring, 1,000 Kilometers of Buenos Aires, and countless other international events. Its dramatic pontoon-fender coachwork by Scaglietti remains among the most celebrated automotive designs ever created, symbolizing Ferrari's dominance during the golden age of endurance racing.

In recent years, Ferrari partnered with England's The Little Car Company to celebrate this remarkable legacy through the Testa Rossa J, an officially licensed three-quarter-scale recreation. Rather than a toy, the Testa Rossa J is a meticulously engineered electric automobile, hand-built using traditional construction methods and incorporating design data supplied through Ferrari Classiche to faithfully reproduce the proportions and details of the original pontoon-fender racers. Production was limited to just 299 units, making the Testa Rossa J an exclusive collector's piece in its own right.

Offered here is 143TRJ, completed in 2024 and finished in the striking LM 07 livery of metallic white with twin blue racing stripes. Its hand-formed aluminum body faithfully recreates one of the 19 pontoon-fender Testa Rossas originally constructed by Scaglietti, while a tubular steel chassis provides the foundation for a modern 12-kW electric powertrain. Four selectable driving modes—Novice, Comfort, Sport, and Race—allow the driving experience to be tailored to the operator, while an installed fuse limits top speed to 19 mph for North American compliance. When unrestricted, Race mode allows speeds approaching 50 mph, offering genuinely engaging performance in a compact package.

The extraordinary attention to detail distinguishes the Testa Rossa J from conventional scale automobiles. Chrome 12-inch Borrani wire wheels wearing Pirelli Cinturato tires, leather hood and trunk straps, enclosed headlamps, Scuderia Ferrari shields beneath the clear coat, and a beautifully finished aluminum-framed windscreen all faithfully capture the appearance of the original racer. Inside, a red leather bench seat with white piping is complemented by a wood-rimmed Nardi-style steering wheel, Ferrari-branded instrumentation, drilled aluminum pedals sourced from Ferrari, and carefully crafted switchgear that echoes the cockpit of the 250 Testa Rossa while integrating modern electric controls.

Presented in virtually as-new condition, this Testa Rossa J has seen only minimal use since completion and retains the fresh appearance expected of such a recent build. Accompanying the car are its battery charger, presentation box, and manufacturer's identification plaques, further enhancing its appeal as a complete and highly collectible example.
