Selections from The General William Lyon Collection

Army Star

Major General William Lyon is forever ingrained in United States military history as one of the most distinguished and accomplished generals to serve in the United States Air Force. Over the course of a remarkable life defined by service, leadership, and entrepreneurial success, General Lyon also developed a deep appreciation for history and mechanical ingenuity — interests that ultimately culminated in the creation of a significant and highly respected collection of automobiles and historic aircraft.

Cars on Display

In his later years, General Lyon founded the Lyon Air Museum in Orange County, California, where visitors could experience a remarkable assembly of World War II aircraft including a B-17 Flying Fortress and B-25 Mitchell, alongside military vehicles and a thoughtfully curated selection of classic motorcars. The museum stands as a reflection of General Lyon’s lifelong passion for preserving the machinery and stories that shaped the twentieth century.

Hyman Ltd. is proud to present Selections from the William Lyon Collection, offering enthusiasts and collectors the rare opportunity to acquire automobiles from one of the most fascinating and historically minded collections assembled in recent decades.
