1962 Austin Healey 3000 MK II Tri Carb Roadster

The 3-carburetor Austin-Healey BT7 2+2 Roadster is the most advanced of the Big Healey Roadsters. Produced for just over a year as an interim model before the introduction of the BJ7, the low slung BT7 combines classic Healey roadster handling, road-hugging style and quick reactions with the power and responsiveness of the triple SU HSF4-carbureted engine which was used only in this model and its 2-seat sibling, the BN7.

This brilliant example, a 1962 3000 Mk II BT7, is finished in Healey Blue and has a blue leather interior piped in white, blue tonneau cover and black convertible top. It also has chrome wire wheels, blackwall radial tires, aluminum valve cover, side outlet exhaust, side shift four-speed manual gearbox with electric overdrive, side curtains and sports steering wheel. An older body off, ground up restoration, it has been driven and toured at regular intervals and is therefore a proven automobile for vintage driving events, including rallies and tours. It is fully and properly sorted, drives very well and feels tight, solid and fast. It is the kind of car that you can just get in and go. There are few experiences more enjoyable than driving a Big Healey roadster, and this very strong example lends itself extremely well to that.
